This was my first night shoot with a person. Up until this point in my photography, I have only shot landscapes at night. I read articles online and tried to prepare as best I could and in the end I learned a lot. The concept behind this shoot was Man on Fire. Yes, that movie with Vin Diesel. lol. I wanted to create a scene where the viewer would have to imagine what was going on and what the situation was. I found this great location by driving down the road and looking out the window. My good friend, Steve Wilson, was the perfect subject to shoot. He had the look I was going for and a dog too! With some experimental lighting tricks and a mean look we were off and running. It was hard to see out there and I will definitely bring a flashlight instead of trying to depend on my cellphone flash for light. Steve's boxer was great and a real pleasure to work with. All in all it was a fun shoot and I'm happy with the results.
